OBJECTIVE

1 Identify low-, medium-and high-risk traumatic events with respect to tooth survival.

DESCRIPTION

The following graphs represent one study on the long-term prognosis of various trauma entities.214–224 Based on the findings, prognosis for each trauma entity is identified as good, fair or poor.

CROWN FRACTURES

Irrespective of presence or absence of pulp exposure, crown fractures have a good long-term prognosis.214–218

CONCUSSION AND SUBLUXATION

Both trauma entities have good long-term tooth survival.214–218
