Management of paediatric jaw tumors: experience from a developing country—teaching institute

Pediatric patients are always a challenge regarding any pathological conditions. Reports of series of central jaw tumors in children are rare hence predicting their biological behavior as well as treatment, prognosis have not been documented from this part of the world. All the presented cases are delayed presentations, which eventually came to our teaching hospital, often presenting difficult surgical options due to the extent of the pathological lesions. The aim of the study is to give a retrospective analysis, and detailed insight of the myriad of cases and management protocol of the pediatric central jaw tumors/pathology, reported in our Institute Hospital with relation to site of occurrence, presentation and biological behavior, treatment and long term follow-up results.
