Treatment protocol for orthodontic surgical management for condylar hyperplasia

Introduction: When we exam asymmetrical face patients we need to make sure which type of asymmetry the patient has. If this has been increasing we need to follow a treatment protocol. Depending if the condylar hyperplasia is active or not we will develop different treatments in order to give solution to the patient problem.

Aim: The aim of this paper is to present the algorithm we follow in every asymmetric case we treat.

Paper design: The chart flow being presented will include all the pre operative records we use for diagnosis and treatment planning which include clinical, functional and imaging records taken at different stages of the disease. Examples with different treatment options as patients required as per the position they were in the algorithm. 4 different patients will be presented with follow up as an example of different types of treatment including their pre operative orthodontics treatment, surgical techniques being used and post operative orthodontics treatment.
