Frenectomy and Tori Removal

Frenectomy
A frenum is a small band of tissue. Removal of the frenum, called a frenectomy, may be necessary if the frenum causes space between teeth.

Tori Removal

A torus is a bony bump or growth. Sometimes a torus (or “tori” if more than one torus, as pictured above) needs to be removed to make room for a partial or a denture, or to make more room for your tongue.
