Many preventing methods are being developed to decrease facial fractures, and they proved to be effective. It can be seen, specially in Europe, that panfacial fractures are not as common as in the biggest cities of Brazil, where the amount of these fractures is increasing. Classical fractures as Le Fort ones is no more common due trauma aetiological changes. Surgeons have to be updated to the biomechanical aspects and reconstruction concepts of these traumas to deal with management and its often complications. Great importance should be given to this particular kind of fractures to improve surgical results.
