Mandibular reconstruction after ressection of an extensive central giant cell granuloma

The aim of this study was to report a case of a 19 years old girl, accomitted by an extensive Central Giant Cell Granuloma in mandible. The patient was submitted to intralesional corticosteroids with no success in therapy. Posteriorly, a partial ressection of the mandible was performed, and after 6 months, autogenous bone graft from mandibular ramus was utilized bilaterally for reconstruction of the defect. After 6 months the patient received oral rehabilitation with dental implants and prosthesis, and after 5 years no recurrence signals are observed.
