CLINICAL FEATURES

Red velvety patch of variable configuration, usually level with or depressed below surrounding mucosa, commonly seen on:

Some erythroplakias are associated with white patches, and are then termed speckled leukoplakia or erythroleukoplakia (Table 27.1).
