Preface and Acknowledgements

This is the second edition of this broad-based craft book which was originally published in 1991 by Malcolm Harris and Ian Reynolds shortly after Ian’s untimely death. It is intended to be a basic manual for undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as trainees in surgery and orthodontics. It is also hoped to be of value to the professions complimentary to medicine and dentistry and especially technical and nursing staff.
