Fluconazole: Use as directed for 3–4 days (depending on the severity of the infection); long-term therapy may lead to resistance to fluconazole. Culture and sensitivity should be performed, and itraconazole, voriconazole, and posaconazole are alternatives; may be taken 1–2 times a week for prophylaxis if on long-term immunosuppressive therapy. |
