With all research endeavours, a working hypothesis is the key ingredient. The hypothesis begins with an observation. A question is then asked about the observation which then becomes a statement. The statement, in effect, becomes the hypothesis and the research methodology is built around the most effective way to test the hypothesis. This presentation will discuss the transition from observation to hypothesis testing.
