Surgical technique for establishment of a lateral window of the maxillary sinus with erbium –YAG laser A. Reihanyan

The author described the technique and the advantages of the use of erbium –YAG laser in sinus lift operations. The main advantages of this method are minimal trauma and preservation of the sinus mucosa, bone window is preserved intact. The healing of the treated regions seems to be excellent. However, the haemostatic action of this laser is poor. In this paper the number of cases operated by this method, complications and disadvantages were not presented.
