Glucocorticosteroids
- Patients on chronic steroids may develop adrenal suppression presenting as refractory intraoperative hypotension [59]
- There is a lack of evidence on the dose and duration of systemic steroids required to induce adrenal suppression. However, practitioners are generally supportive of at least 20 mg daily of prednisone (or equivalent) for more than two weeks in the past two months may suppress adrenal function
