STEPS RATIONALES
1. Terminate the dental procedure and remove all materials from client’s mouth immediately. Client may inhale materials during asthma attack.
2. Place the client in a comfortable position as soon as signs are apparent—usually sitting with the arms thrown forward over the back of a chair. This positioning allows for the most comfort during acute attack.
