Characteristics

Cotton roll holder for mandibular arch

One cotton roll is placed on the buccal side of the teeth, and the other is placed on the lingual side of the teeth.

Disposable bite block

Dry Aids for keeping mouth dry

Dry Aid is placed on the buccal mucosa—inside the cheek—opposite the maxillary second molar near the Stensen’s duct to absorb saliva originating from the parotid gland.

Practice Note

Disposables are used on sealant and other restorative tray setups.

All disposables should be disposed of in the garbage. Single use only.

Fluoride Trays—Disposable

Functions

To fill trays with fluoride; remineralizing

To help prevent decay by mineralizing the teeth

Characteristic

Variety of disposable trays and fluoride available

Practice Note

Fluoride treatment is usually given to children at their 6-month check up appointment.

Fluoride Trays are used on fluoride tray setups.

Fluoride Trays should be disposed of in the garbage. Single use only.
